1956 Mobilgas

1956 - Car 33 is the Peugeot 403 of Len Thorpe and Vic Hannaford. This car finished 30th overall. This entry was from Bendigo - Victoria.

1956 - Car 11 is the new FE Holden of Jack Masling (driving) Ken Miller ( front passenger) and Harry Cape (rear seat) at the Finish of the trial at Bondi. This crew finished 2nd. outright.  The car was entered from Cootamundra.

1956 - Car 16 The Perkins Brothers, Eddie ( Father of Larry )and his brother Lance shown at the finish of the trial at Bondi and this crew had won outright. The car was entered from Cowangie - Victoria.

1956 - Car 29 Ray Davie and family prior to the start. They are next to the 1954 Ford Customline that Ray and Martin Arentz shared. They did not finish.

1956 - Car 94 is the well driven Skoda of Major Warwick and Allan Zimmerer. This car was 23rd.outright and first in class. Note that this car is left hand drive.

1957 Mobilgas.

1957 - Car 25 The Skoda of Major Warwick and Laurie Cosstick ran into a ditch in  Northern Australia. The car continued and finished the course but was unplaced. This entry is from Maidstone - Victoria.

1957 - Car 54 is the FJ Holden of Keith Bailey, Ian Altman and Don Hugo. This car was entered from Kadina in South Australia.

1958 Mobilgas.

1958 - Car 6 is the Toyopet Crown which rolled over on the wet Nullabor road. The crew were Hiroyuki Nishimoto, Nobuo Shimizu and the Australian navigator Brian McNamara. This car of course did not finish.

1958 - Car 54 is the blue Chrysler Royal of Jack 'Milko' Murray who had John Pomroy and Bert Madden as his crew. This crew finished 30th. outright.

1958 - Car 44 is shown at the Port Pirie (S.A.) service point. This Skoda is another entry from Major Warwick who was navigated by his son-in-law Max Watson. This crew finished in 31st. place..

1958 - Car 59 is a Peugeot 403 driven by Bathurst winner Bob Holden. The navigator was Mat Walton. This crew from Oakleigh in Victoria were 18th. outright and 1st. in class.

1958 - This photo is of Malcolm Brooks and Frank Tate who finished 7th. outright in their Vanguard Spacemaster in the 1958 Mobilgas Trial.
